Physical Therapist
Louisiana Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders (LCBCD)
Kenneth “Ken” Martin was born and raised in New Orleans, La. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University and majored in zoology. He then attended LSUMC School of Allied Health and received a graduate degree in Physical Therapy. Soon after he began working in private practice at an outpatient orthopedic sports medicine clinic for two years. Shortly after he began a contracting service and provide his physical therapy expertise to home health agencies, nursing homes, and private practices.
Meanwhile, he still had an interest in practicing clinically and decided to help start a physical therapy department and an established hand clinic. After one year he began studying and practicing manual therapy techniques and started working for the Anatomical Works and worked there for 26 years. During this time, he continued his post graduate studies in manual therapies at Michigan State School of Osteopathic Medicine under the guidance of the late Dr. Phil Greenman. He also studied with St. Augustine School of Manual Physical Therapy. As much as he enjoyed Manual PT, he decided to make a career change and join our HTC in 2022, and he is delighted to be a part of the LCBCD team.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his two children, who are more young adults than children. He also enjoys sports, music, and spending time with friends.
