Serena Crawford is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She spent her earlier years keeping up with all pop trends, singing karaoke, and playing sports. While attending the University of New Orleans, she rushed with Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity and graduated with a Bachelor’s in English with a minor in Journalism in Fall 2013. After graduation, she moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to pursue a career in broadcast journalism as an intern for WBRC Tv, Birmingham, Alabama.

She moved back home to pursue a Master’s Degree in Mass Communications from LSU in the fall of 2016 while interning at the Caesar’s Superdome as a marketing and sales intern. This internship made her realize she enjoyed planning, decorating, and creating.Shortly after, she was hired as an events’ manager assistant, ensuring that Saints games, major concerts, and additional events ran smoothly. She returned home to Baton Rouge to become an events’ coordinator for the Raising Canes River Center. Then she began working in marketing in communications and has been in the marketing profession since 2018. She joined the LCBCD team in March 2021 as the marketing and communications specialist, creating marketing materials, attending outreach events, building our website, and more. In her spare time, she enjoys being a foodie, binging sci-fi and reality tv, and working out.
