Alicia Cole was raised in Harahan, LA along the Mississippi River where she enjoyed the lushness of the river batture. After graduating from high school, she tried her hand in cosmetology, and after 10 years decided to pursue something different. She then enrolled at the University of New Orleans (UNO) and graduated with a BS in Exercise Physiology. After two years in the corporate fitness profession, she went on to pursue a career in nursing. Alicia graduated from William Carey College School of Nursing with a BS in Nursing. Her nursing career began at Ochsner in the oncology unit. After leaving Ochsner she joined our team in 2000. Although she initially worked in the hemophilia program, she helped to launch the first thrombosis clinic at the Center and now serves as its Nurse Coordinator.
