Ernest is a native of New Orleans. He received an undergraduate degree from Xavier University of New Orleans and a graduate degree in Social Work from Southern University of New Orleans. Ernest has been involved in numerous medical and neuro-cognitive researched based studies that have brought about sickle cell initiatives throughout the state. One of his main focus is to ensure that individuals with sickle cell disease in Louisiana receive adequate, appropriate, and timely medical and social services.
