Jennifer Borrillo has been a clinical social worker for many years. She earned her MBA from the Tulane University Freeman School of Business in 2010, while working full-time, and received an appointment to the clinical faculty of the Tulane School of Medicine, Department of Hematology/Oncology. She has been with our LCBCD team since 2004 and began as a part-time hemophilia social worker for LCBCD. After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005, destroying Louisiana’s State Factor Program located within the city, Jennifer helped to launch the Center’s pharmacy program, which began serving patients in January 2007. Jennifer became the Director of our hemophilia factor pharmacy program in 2008 and the Administrative Director of the Center in 2016. Jennifer is passionate about working with our patients and dedicated to helping them secure the best care and resources possible.

In 2013 Jennifer was awarded the Tulane Department of Medicine Chair’s Award for Excellence in Departmental Service and in 2016 the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation’s Annual Advocacy Award. She served as the Great Plains Region NHF Social Work Working Group Representative. She is the former Board Chair of the Hemophilia Alliance, and currently serves on the following boards; the Hemophilia Alliance, NHF CCSC Advisory Board, and is the Tulane HTC representative for the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation Board of Directors. Jennifer and her husband, Dr. Christopher Borrillo, have four children together, and live in New Orleans, Louisiana.
