Rene Mire has been with LCBCD since July 2018. He has over twenty-five years of accounting and financial management experience and is proficient in the areas of financial analysis, budgeting, planning, and operations in the private and governmental sectors. Earlier in his career he worked in higher-ed for state government where he was the financial director for several multi-million-dollar federal grant programs at the board level.

He has over 15 years of experience as a CFO and V.P. of Practice Financial Management for a local multi-specialty practice and a national company servicing orthodontists over the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico, respectively. Rene received his undergraduate degree from LSU, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Southwestern La. – Lafayette, and is a non-practicing C.P.A.
